Re: Print Boundaries Explained?

It is hard to tell from the screenshot, but it looks to me that you could make it fit within the printable area by rotating the model so the pointed end is in the corner and the round end in the other corner.

Re: Printing with supports in S3D

Suggestion for curving the sides. Create a negative mold - in this case it looks like a basic half sphere. Place the model on it and then heat with heat gun - arms should curve down over the mold. I love that idea. If you could find a correct size ceramic or metal bowl, it would withstand the heat ...

Re: MIC6 preorder number 2

I think I recall reading that either ABS or PETG doesn't do so well with PEI, so I'm looking to make sure I can get the best adhesion with the alternativ...

Re: HELP! Layers overlapping each other, Halting Production!

If you are using Simplify3D, check the "X/Y Axis Movement Speed" setting under the "Other" tab. By default it comes in at a ridiculously high setting of 14,000 or 18,000. I was having mysterious X/Y shifts too, but after Jimc's suggestion of dropping it to 9,000, I've never had another one. It also ...

Re: Prints are still not sticking down.

The procedure for leveling the bed is covered in detail in Jule's beginners guides. The thread is the top one (sticky) in the "Getting Starting" section. There are two guides - one for older printers and one for new printers (Rev E) that shipped after March 1st of this year. It would be a good idea ...

Re: Prints are still not sticking down.

I think she means close enough to see the individual lines extruded from the hot end. As in the plastic coming out as "thread". By seeing close ups, it is possible to see if under or over extruding is happening. Also, judging by the shape of the skirt layers it is possible to see if the extruder is ...

That is AWESOME! You might need to build a few more hydrogen generators to run your M2 farm!

Re: The MakerGear Website - input requested

The Amazon info is excellent and hits on all the points. It is quite clear that this is not the same machine from years ago. My only suggestion (a very minor one) would be to make the points at the start of the paragraphs, such as "Ready to Use", "Reliable", etc., in bold to increase scannability. T...

Here's a link to the MakerGear Wikidot with instructions on when, how, where and what to use for lubrication. Should answer all your questions.
