MakerGear makes hardware. Nothing you are referring to came from MakerGEAR. If you are going to rudely point fingers, at least point them in the correct direction.

Re: Anyone using Mattercontrol?

If all you want to do is to observe and be able to stop a bad print, I am using a super simple setup that might work for you. I have two webcams pointed at my printer from two different angles so I can see a close up of the print bed and a wide view so I can see the filament spool. I use a free ivid...

Re: Latest big print

Oh yeah, this was ABS, not PLA. Not sure that it matters, but I had it confused with a different print.

Re: Latest big print

It took VERY little support - just a few columns under the jaw and a few in the temple insets. Overall it was a very easy print.

Re: nema17 dampers

Even though I'm really enjoying the peace since my M2 sits only five feet away from me while I work, I do miss it "singing" to me! I always thought the moves sounded a bit like machine music.

That's OK though, I think I'm over it!

Re: nema17 dampers

WOW! I did the damper modification and I am BLOWN AWAY by how quiet the machine is now! I never realized how loud it actually was. Once done, the fans seemed really loud, so I removed the laser cut "M2" part of my case lid and replaced the fan with a Noctua fan and installed a metal fan guard. My ma...

Re: M2 appears to interfere with IP cameras

Since both my outside cameras are wired via ethernet (wireless was WAY too unreliable), I guess my options are: Try a power conditioner on the printer to see if that isolates the printer from the Powerline Ethernet switches (I already have one, so nothing to lose) Face the spiders and run an etherne...

M2 appears to interfere with IP cameras

I know this a very strange and probably isolated case, but I thought I'd reach out for explanation here first. This has been driving me a bit crazy. It's not M2 specific, but given the brilliance of our members, I thought it wise to ask here first. I have hooked up two separate IP cameras outside my...

Re: UN-solved: Need a S3D GCODE

I get clunking and chatter from the extruder, E-Stop, then try to retract, can get 5mm retracted then it gets caught on and clunks again. Pull the thread and its all mashed up, but still connected. I suppose the tension is too high...but it was barely tensioned on one of the trials. The gap for the...
