Re: I added an E3D Titan to my M2 and you can too!

The titan doesnt affect the temp range of materials that you can print with. If you want to print with high temp materials, I suggest looking into the PT100 upgrade from e3d. I did that, and I now print in ultem.

Re: I added an E3D Titan to my M2 and you can too!

I have titan's on both of my M2's and I've been very pleased with them. In my opinion, I wouldn't go with the Aero for the M2, for a couple reasons, mainly the reduced flexibility that I perceive in having it combined into one unit, its kind of ugly in my opinion, and the reduced z-height would make...

Re: MAXTEMP Error

Its not likely that he is running a thermocouple to sense his temp. Its more likely to be a thermistor. Thermistors read low when there is a disconnection, so if I had to guess I would say that your maxtemp setting in your firmware is 250 or 255C and you had a bit of an overshoot with your temp and ...

Re: The State of the Gear

Honestly fellas, I have no doubt that you will be pleased with your M3's, so there's no reason to worry about whether makergear will deliver a good product to you when it does in fact arrive. In my eyes, the M3 really doesnt seem that different compared to the M2 and makergear has proven that the M2...

Re: The State of the Gear

Sprior, in addition to ErikAikia's points, I would think that a small company like Makergear would be forced to have all hands on deck working on getting the pre-order M3's out the door, not to mention it sounds like they're hoping to get moving on the M4 fairly soon. A larger company like formlabs,...

Re: Play in Y-axis bearing

I ordered the Y carriage from makergear (just carriage, not rail/carriage combo) and it was surprisingly easy to replace. took maybe 10 min at a leisurely pace. Sidenote, I planned to do the carriage and the z axis brass nut at the same time, and I figured the brass nut would be the easier of the tw...

Re: Printing a Solid Ring, Not Two Outlines

If it were me, I would change the perimeters to 1, adjust the extrusion width (within reason) to see if I could get it to fill properly, and failing that, I would consider using a different sized nozzle. If you change the perimeters/shells setting to 1 and have the infill to 100, then it might just ...

Re: The State of the Gear

as long as the machine homes at Z max, then then I cant think of a need that I personally have with a direct mechanical Z knob. However an option like Rick and Insta suggested would do fine, I think. I use my Z knob for setting Z height, so if it homes at the top then Im not sure how i will set Z he...
