Re: M2 Auto-Leveling
Heres the .STL, the model number of the dial really isnt necessary since any dial with a flat back and 3/8" stem will work with this, I've tested the 1/2" and 1" travel models and they both work well. Keep in mind that this is very close to the hot end so you really cant use this when the hot end is...

Re: Methods for extra bed cooling?
I had originally posted a reply but after more consideration I think I see what you're getting at. Either way, if you can get your hands on a 40mm fan with adequate flow and pressure ratings, it would leave all options open, not to mention you could mount it closer to the nozzle with more freedom to...

Re: Methods for extra bed cooling?
I just had a look at that fan that you posted JSC, thats a radial flow fan, sometime referred to as a "squirrel cage fan" or a blower. It will draw air in through the center and discharge tangentially (to the side, for all intents and purposes) just an FYI before you commit to ordering it, because i...

Re: Methods for extra bed cooling?
I'm sorry to contradict you rsilvers. I have serious respect for your skills, as I use your print configuration files and it has made a large improvement on my print quality. However, in this case I think you might be mistaken. If you're not using a duct, then a fans static pressure rating isnt as r...

Re: Methods for extra bed cooling?
static air pressure should only be a factor if you're using a duct, or restriction of some kind. In that case yes, neither the fan that came with the printer, nor the one I replaced it with, will put out enough pressure to realize the potential of a ducting system.

Re: Methods for extra bed cooling?
Good call Jsc, that fan puts out more at 50% than the original at 100% and its quieter. mount was a breeze to make up too. I also got a stick fan for behind the printer. I went ahead and printed the fan mount with no support on the overhangs to see if the stick fan would help and it turned out flawl...

Re: Methods for extra bed cooling?
Haha! thats funny you mention that Jules! I had this open in another window considering it for right behind the printer, the rear of mine faces an inside corner of a wall so it will fit well in there... http://www.canadiantire.ca/en/pdp/garrison-mini-tower-fan-14-in-0436168p.html#.VTEqxRceb7A Jsc, p...

Methods for extra bed cooling?
Has anyone swapped out the 50mm fan for an upgraded one or added an extra fan? If not, maybe someone could point me in the direction of getting more effective cooling of my parts?
does anyone know the max output for the 50mm fan circuit in case I swap to a more powerful fan or run multiple?

Re: V4 Single Extruder Fan Shroud
Steve, I'll likely be upgrading my hot end soon here, so there's little point in making additions to the v3b setup at the moment, however thanks for the offer.
Jeremy.
