Re: Advice for cleaning V4 extruder

Resurrecting another very old thread. I haven't had a clog in a long time, but I just switched to PETG from PLA and got a bad clog on the second day of printing (my clogs always happen after changing to PETG). I swapped to a new nozzle, but now that I have two clogged ones in my pile, I'm going to c...

Re: M2: The indestructible

The MakerGear is the best 3D printer that I've ever used and I used to have access to much more expensive machines such as the Fortus at work.

Re: Bed heat not working after replacing thermister wire

Ok, if a thermistor reading of zero disables bed-heat as stated above, then it's only for that session. I just pulled my rambo cover and hooked up a meter, turned on bed-heat, got 24v. jumped between the rambo terminal and the bed connector and the bed heat works. That wire must have failed as-well ...

Bed heat not working after replacing thermister wire

The thermister wire for my bed heat died a while ago (1+ year). Since I was busy, I just slapped some glue stick on the bed and kept printing with heat off, the bed temp readout used to flip between ambient and 0 while printing which helped me confirm that it stayed broken. Two weeks ago, I finally ...

Which blower fan do you use?
I use these Blower Fans I found on Amazon and the nozzle I made can be found HERE.

Re: M3 cooler on the M2

Remove the guards much quieter and a lot more air flow. Agree. I'm actually using a wire guard on the top fan that blows on the extruder to protect my Noctua fan, and the big fan that blows on the print itself has been unguarded for several years. I'm still very surprised that MG doesn't offer a "Q...

Re: S3d Default profile

That's a good document Airscapes, thank you for posting it. While, I agree with the broad-strokes of "everyone will get best results by tuning their printer" I don't believe that a crap profile that everyone has to change is better than a profile that might work great for 80% of people out of the bo...

Re: Need some advice on a suction device

I keep stealing my wife's CPAP hoses out of the trash when she gets new ones. I use them with my shop vac when I need to clear chips out of things that I'm machining. Would be about the perfect size for what your're doing. https://www.amazon.com/CPAP-Hose-Holder-Care-Touch/dp/B07CSVGWVR/ref=sr_1_1_s...

Re: M3 cooler on the M2

Nice experiment. Which blower fan do you use? I get a little warping on thin spires, I'm using the stock cooler with a wire guard (oem is very noisy) and a slightly different mount for an LED strip.
