Horrible quality on bottom half of sphere shapes...

I'm trying to print Megabot from Big Hero 6 for my daughter. http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:963917 First attempt I printed the file that prints all the parts at once. Three spheres and six other pieces that have a sphere shaped base. Bottom halves of the sphere shapes printed like this.. FullSizeR...

Re: PEI Bed Surface

Got my PEI and adhesive. I always have a hard time applying screen protectors and stuff like that. Anyone have a link to corner pieces that could be used as a jig to apply it easily?

I did get an extra one that is larger than the boro plate. Might just put them on then trim the extra off afterwards.

Re: Proper way to clear an extruder gear jam?

You might need to adjust the Filament Drive Screw tension (tighten it about a quarter turn, assuming you loosened it for the cleaner filament) to get the PLA to start feeding in. When you feed it, press down lightly on the filament going in to get it to catch. Use PLA temps. I didn't adjust the ten...

Proper way to clear an extruder gear jam?

I've been searching but I can't find any detailed threads on how to clear an extruder gear jam. I'm trying to load some PLA after running some cleaner filament through. The PLA only goes into the extruder a few mm then stops. When I back out the new spool there are only 3-4 extruder gear teeth on it...

Re: eSUN wood filament

Figured I'd bump this rather than open a new thread about the same filament. Tim, and anyone else that has used this filament, could you please explain the settings that worked for you with this filament? I just grabbed a spool of this. Just loaded it up and starting to do all the usual calibrations...

Re: Filament tangling on spool?

Anyone have an issue with a spool being tangled from the factory? I just had a print go off on the x axis about a 1/3 through the print. After some investigating I noticed that the spool was hard to unravel because it was tangled a bit. I never unraveled any of this spool. I'm pretty sure the tangle...

Re: PEI Bed Surface

Looks like most of you are using .03 or .06 sheets and bonding them to the boro. Anyone attempt or successfully using a thicker sheet on top of the boro using the bed clips only? The only problem with that is the same one you have already experienced with the zebra - you have to use the small clips...

Acrylic Build Plate?

I was poking around on Google last night and found this...

http://www.instructables.com/id/Reusabl ... Baseplate/

Anyone ever try an acrylic plate? I don't have access to the tools used in the instructions. Tempted to find a local company (Metro Detroit) that could make one for me.

Re: Zebra Plate

I'm not necessarily concerned about flatness, I'm concerned about not being able to find that happy medium where I can at least get the feeler gauge to fit between the nozzle and the bed on all sides. I don't care if they're all not perfect, I just don't want there to be an area where the nozzle is...
