Re: bed adhesion with PEI

Well darn it, lol. I'm hoping I can remove an ABS case, I have been printing on the mic6 and PEI, I received from Insta, this morning. I printed with a bed heat of 120°f, since I was having issues with it, lifting in the corners.

Re: bed adhesion with PEI

Not sure if it would work with PEI, but you could put it a freezer or even I guess some ice would work if the part is small and get the glass cold and hopefully the pei will cool before the part does and it should pop off. I have done that with kapton on glass, and the part just falls off

Re: Modified Ikea enclosure

Here are some pictures of my modified Ikea enclose. I took some bits from others and combined them into my case. I think it turned out pretty good, much better then my plexiglass case I had before this I found that there was just enough room for the filament roll to be on the back wall. The filament...

Re: Modified Ikea enclosure

Thanks, for the reply. I actually settled putting the roll on the back of the case and the filament tube is only attached to the extruder. It seems to work fairly well, no jamming so far. I just wish I had discovered this thread before I wasted money on making a plexiglass enclosure. So much nicer a...

Re: Modified Ikea enclosure

The lack table is not wide enough to have the full movement of the M2. It's 21 5/8 square, need atleast 24 inches. Although this one is more expensive. It would fit the M2 and have room and storage. But you would need a top, and also one of the door panels. I am almost thinking about getting it, tho...

Re: Modified Ikea enclosure

I tried sending a PM, have not heard back. I was wondering anybody had any suggestions as to how I would route the filament with the roll on perpendicular to the printer like how D smith had his on page 3 of this thread. Any help would be most appreciated.

Thanks

Re: Modified Ikea enclosure

This thread inspired me and I enjoy the cabinets... Quiet printing, temp control, looks fantastic... They are unmodified Ikea Besta cabinets... 23.5" wide, 25"tall, and 15.5" deep. The printers fit quite nicely once everything is arranged just right. Regards, -Don IMAG0334 (1000x565).jpg I have the...

Re: Need help with a case.

Does it need to be ABS? PETG builds nicely on Kapton over Glass. Nope, but I had some request Abs and some colors are only Abs. PLA also works, but tend to have warping in hot climates and being near hot grills. I printed a case with makergeek yellow transparent PETG and it came out pretty good on ...

Re: Need help with a case.

The ABS juice worked the best, and probably would work with the enclosure temperature of 130°, as it did not warp as much. But, the face that is attached to the build plate needs to be perfect as possible, and ABS juice leave a surface that I don'tlike. Insta- LOL, would 1350° be enough, hehe. While...

Re: Need help with a case.

Thanks, I will let him know. I didn't like how the chamfer looked anyways.
