I'm having trouble getting my first layer correct. I was able to get the wall thickness just about right by adjusting the extrusion multiplier, but the first solid layer is always so thin. My first layers do not at all look like the beautifully squashed layers of the blue lines in the initial pictur...

Ahh, this stinks. I was interested in a kit and even emailed but never received a response about whether it would be available. This thread had died so I gave up and eventually bought an assembled one. I was looking forward to assembling and learning the machine.

I figured the organic shape of the object was part of the cause. I printed some styluses tonight and they were both flawless, one with the vase-mode and one normal with 2 walls and hollow body. I can see the line where each layer started but they line up since the cross section of the cylinder is un...
