Re: Replica Statue

Wow! They look identical, (minus the repairs, of course).
I am curious, how does the one on the left look to you compared to the table top? The one on the right is of similar color to the table top.

Re: Petg extruding problems

Every so often, I find that crap gets in the nozzle. I do not know if it comes from the filament or from dust in the air, but it seems to stay in the nozzle until I take a torch to it. If you have never done that, it is easy and painless, so I recommend you try.

Re: .75mm Nozzle and print speed

It is not so much Print Speeds as heating capacity. It takes a certain amount of power to melt a flow of plastic, and the filament heaters have a limit; try to put plastic through the extruder any faster, and it just will not work. You likely have excess heat available at common print speeds, but th...

Re: Squeal at end of print.

I had a similar problem; the know on the Z-axis rod was pinched by the wire housing on the extruder assembly.

Re: Printing nylon on glass bed

Seems to be a lot of work. Have you tried glue stick on top of Kapton? That has always worked well for me on both my M2 and Markforged.

Re: HIPS

I have recently tried using HIPS as support material for ABS and PLA. You remove it, (dissolve it), using Limonene. Unfortunately, the limonene also softens ABS, so that does not work. It works really well with PLA, though. I had a long, small hole that I had to print in the horizontal. I put just a...

I do not remember the name, but there was a previous thread that addressed this issue. I am sure you can find it by searching.

Re: Nylon

I print lots of nylon, including with a Markforged printer. The MF does not have a heated bed, but the prints stick well with glue stick. The bed is phenolic. I also use other nylons in it with differing success. Most work fine, but also string a lot, since the MF uses a 275C extruder temp. On the M...
