Re: High-temperature PLA

I do not know about that particular filament, but I definitely recommend the company; great products!
The owner is very easy to contact and talk to and has always been a great help to me.

Re: Printed Text: Recessed or Raised?

I have had some luck with a laser engraver. I printed the switch cover in CF-Nylon, then painted it with an off-white paint, then laser engraved it. I also had to design and print the orange jig in order to get the lased surface perpendicular to the laser beam. The switch covers are quite stiff due ...

Re: Brims vs Rafts?

Can you post some pictures? It might have to do with the shape of your part. The first thing to try, though, is to make sure your bed is clean. Use acetone, or even plain glass cleaner, to get the surface REALLY clean. I have had failures due to finger/skin oils on the bed. Just the plain Kapton tap...

Re: Motion Sensor Housing

I have some ASA lying around, but I have not yet tried to print it. It is supposed to be UV resistant.

Re: Print Settings for PETG: eSUN Solid Black Filament

PETG is also hard to glue, as it doesn't weld with any substances I have found so far, so you are left with CA (with potential hazing) or Epoxy as a solution. Have you tried friction welding? A round piece should be pretty easy to do, such as with a drill. More complicated shapes will be exponentia...

Re: Swapping Build Surfaces?

I finally did my own experiment:
One complete revolution of the Z-axis knob is 50 clicks.
10 revolutions of the knob changes the Z by 1.250".
1.250"/10 rev/50 clicks = 0.003"/click
Is that the same as what you get?

Re: Motion Sensor Housing

Looks great! I will be interested to how well the ABS holds up to weather. Where do you live? We see -30F - 110F here, with plenty of sun and medium to high humidity.

Re: Swapping Build Surfaces?

You got me to thinking...How much is the bed raised/lowered per 'click' of the Z-adjustment knob?
