Re: Is this the solution to melting heat bed connector?

I also print with ABS only and I never had issues with melting any wires or connection. Knock on woods. As far as I know, heat bed mosfet and power input melting is a common issue in RepRap community. Its factors are heat bed temperature, printing duration and PSU. I print at 110c bed temperature an...

RAMBo buzzing sound after firmware update?

Have you guys experienced this buzzing sound before? It's a constant buzzing sound from RAMBo, not the fans. http://bit.ly/2pNqngD

Is this the solution to melting heat bed connector?

I print almost exclusively in ABS only, that has melted RAMBO heatbed power connector twice (1st was at the power input and 2nd time was the mosfet.) Are any of you guys using this thing, Heat Bed Power Module Expansion Hot Bed MOS http://amzn.to/2phxOdy ? Check out the review from GLM who is using ...

Re: 24V Power supply options

Thanks insta! My M2 bed takes almost 30 minutes to reach 110c, I don't want to slow it even more. It looks like this is what the current Makergear PSU is using, http://amzn.to/2pIy33Y 24v 18.8A. The purpose of running M2 at 24v is so the bed heats up faster and hotend can operate at higher temperatu...

24V Power supply options

It's about time to upgrade my 1st gen M2's 19v (two Dell laptop bricks) to the new standard 24v, but Makergear 24v PSU upgrade kit price is out of my budget. So I'm looking for alternative options. Any suggestions on which third party PSU is good for M2? this one looks very promising http://amzn.to/...

1st Gen M2 hotend temperature limit

I print mostly ABS at 210c. The low priced ABS such as eSun http://amzn.to/2pDwZ1b needs higher temperature 220 - 260 c. My M2 uses 19v from two Dell taptop PSUs and the printed manual came with the printer states don't use temperature higher than 220c. Can 1st gen M2 hotend go beyond 220c? I'm hesi...

Re: Palette filament guide connector

I'm curious about it too. $1000 price tag is a bit steep for what it does. It maybe worth it if it works flawlessly with M2. Perhaps Makergear people can borrow one from Mosaic Manufacturing for testing and let us know?

VIKI LCD revisit

I have the 1st gen M2 RAMBo 1.0e with two Dell PSU bricks. The RAMBo power connector melted when I tried to setup VIKI LCD back in 2014 with the newly released Marlin for M2 with LCD panel and x8 microstepping http://bit.ly/2oJAX9H , so I replaced RAMBo and put VIKI aside. Now my M2 is using RAMBo 1...
