Re: simplify3d M3 ID polysupport profile error

Can’t help with the polysupport issue directly, but you may have the heat too high. You will always have a little ooze, but high heat is what causes dripping. You can probably go up 5-10° on the PLA, but it kinda depends on the PLA. My main comment is a question. Are you using it as a raft or brim f...

Re: M3 ID bed adherence issues

Possibly things are adhering better to the center of your bed than toward the edges? You may need to check your leveling or printing height. If you are using S3D, you can set it so supports are printed with the first layer at 100%. That will help. My guess would be that you are close to the right he...

Re: Mysterious Stoppage

Do they have to be printed sequentially?

Will it work if you create a single file with multiple STL models laid out to match the print bed? We’ll just say half a dozen parts in one STL file.

Import and print the single file in S3D that contains the half dozen parts.

Re: what could have caused this shift?

Easy. Your design has very long slat pieces. This is not an issue unless you print them upright like yours are oriented. Those long parts are just shaking all over while printing. You can notice how the print quality on slats gets worse the taller they got. I think you are lucky that it was only off...

Re: 30% Fan Speed = Off?

as stated, the fan is on or off, but usually you wouldn’t use a fan for petg. don’t have to print a bunch for testing, just print two of them 4-5 inches apart. if the part is small it won’t take long and they will print faster because you are not bumping against the speed reduction caused by printin...

Re: What are your default print speeds in S3D?

For PLA, 100 for fast drafts, 80 in general, 60-70 for complex.

50-60% speed for first layer and outer perimeters.

Re: Table falling down in a middle of a print

Cleanliness and lubricity is the first thing you should look at. First let's assume you were formerly printing fine. 1. Home the Z. 2. Disable the motors 3. What does your Z do? a. Nothin', just sits b. Staaarts toooo droooopp reeeeaaalll slooooowww. c. Falls quickly to the bottom within a couple se...

Re: First Layer Width - M3 SE help needed

Two replies with different takes on solutions and both are correct. The last step in my design process for 90% of my prints is to add a micro chamfer to the surface touching the bed face. If it is another persons design, you could request thay integrate a microbevel if it is needed. The first step i...

Re: Weird noise from brand new M2 Rev E

It seems to occur a bit before a direction change? I just had a quick listen, as it loud where I am. My first thought was to wonder if it was an oddity in the code from the slicer. Is it just this printer? Do the others print the same model on duplicate settings honklessly? :D If they all do it, at ...

Re: Brims vs Rafts?

you could try running the first few layers without a fan.

can you post up a screenshot or pic or the stl file so we can see what you got going on printwise?
