Re: Initial height with multiple hot ends

G28; homes everything G1 F1000 X100 Y125 Z0 ; move to center of bed at 0 height There is a more complicated process I follow to set the exact staring height but the above gives you what you want and will work as you want. It is how I start the process, hot end up all the way in the mount, send those...

Re: stainless or brass nozzles

Brass, transfers heat much much better. I bought a stainless nozzle when I bought my M2 2 years ago, I print PETG, ABS, PLA and sometimes Nylon and have never used the stainless nozzle.. that is for stuff like carbon fiber infused composite filaments that are abrasive.

Re: IdeaMaker Profile for M2E?

Prusa slicer is slic3r. They are also actively developing it. I only played a little bit with it as I am fluent in s3d 4.01 which is doing what I need. The one thing that seemed lacking was the supports..

Re: Installing an E3D V6 today, what do I need to know?

Interested in seeing how this comes out but won't be much help. What is the advantage of this hot end over the MG? I have 4 hot ends I use regularly and a spare. Each hot end with a different nozzle .25 .35 .50 and .75. Swapping the entire hot end is not really hard and with practice can be complete...

Re: PETG bonds to PEI like superglue!

shinigami, if you will tell us what nozzle size and layer height you are using I can post a couple of calibration models that will let you properly set z offset and extrusion multiplier.

Re: PETG bonds to PEI like superglue!

I have no issue with petg warping on the makergear tape surface (I use the 2" tape ) You did not say if you properly set your starting Z offset, did you set it after you added the PEI to the plate? When printing PETG are you using a fan, as some people on the internet say to do, because you should n...

Re: Need Flexible Filament advice

Because the MakerGear extruder drive uses only one gear and a bearing. The if you make it tight enough to pull the filament it crushes and jams. Gravity Feed allow it to work with very little tension between the gear and bearing.

Re: Printing with Ninjaflex?

yes the space between where the filament exits the house above the bearing and where it re-enters is much closer. The diameter of the hole is also just slightly larger than 1.75 and I just cleaned it up with a 1.75mm drill bit and did not open it up to 2mm like the factory housing. This could cause ...
