Re: M2 octoprint on Pi what to buy

Thanks Will! So I also have a dedicated laptop but hate seeing the printer come to a stop for a second or 2 when windows is busy doing something else or rebooting to install a patch without telling me... and the task of switching the SD card back and forth is also a annoying.. So it was recommended ...

Re: M2 octoprint on Pi what to buy

Just placed my order for a 3B+, 32Gig Micor sd and a logitech C270 which seems to be a popular 3d printer monitor cam once it is opened up and focused for up close viewing. Found a couple of cases on thingivers that should work well enough. I did see that adifruite has 2 meter cables for the PI cam ...

Re: M2 octoprint on Pi what to buy

One of those starter kits off Amazon is fine along with the Raspi cam. My Pi and printers are connected to each other through an ethernet or wireless hub. I think mine are all Canakit Raspi kits, which I got from Amazon. I have three Raspi. Two use MotioneyeOS as print monitor cams and one uses Oct...

Re: M2 printing off SD stops if USB port bounce

The laptop was dedicated to 3d printer and decided to use it to make a new model while sitting in the living room to make the wife happy .. Finished what I was doing and put it back where I got it and plugged it in..
Last night windows reboot it..
So looks like Pi and Octoprint is next!

Re: M2 printing off SD stops if USB port bounce

You can start a print from S3D using the "Print from SD Card" button then just yank the USB cord out of the computer and the print will continue to print without any possible interruptions... or better yet get a Raspberry Pi setup and run Octoprint and free up your computer all together. Yes the fa...

M2 printing off SD stops if USB port bounce

I was aware this happens when you plug your laptop in and the M2 is printing from SD but forgot that Windows booting without asking after an update does the same thing ruining an almost complete print. I guess the only way to prevent this is to buy an LCD pad for the M2 and loose the USB cable? Not ...

Re: Restoring Simplify3D Settings

Click the drop down next to profile and select the original profile for your printer. The one you are using probably says Modified next to it. I would suggest heading over to the Simplify3D site and watching all the videos and reading all the stuff posted as that is the extent of the documentation. ...
