Re: nozzle size

This would be to use with the torch after removal. I have a machinist scope that lets me look right down in that tiny hole and see the stuff still within it. Guess I will just take my caliper to the music store. BTW, the nozzle fits a standard metric bolt (not sure of the size but had plenty in my a...

nozzle size

Anyone know for sure the guitar sting sizes that fit a .25 and .35 nozzle? I found a #9 in the basement for decades ago and it measures .2 and does fit but did not remove the crud as it is smaller than the hole.
I am guessing the #10 is .01 and is .26mm?

Re: plugging in the USB during print from SD card

Thanks that is what I had figured.. Normally not an issue but I needed that particular laptop which does not normally happen.. The disconnect works, just can't plug it in until it is done.

Have a good weekend!

plugging in the USB during print from SD card

So I needed my laptop for another project and I had read you could start your print from SD card and unplug the usb cable.. I did not remember reading that plugging that USB cable back in 3 hours into the print would stop the printer cold .. Was there a way to recover from that other than pulling up...

Re: esun epa jamming up the drive

Both of those are moisture. You need to bake the filament in a dehydrator for several hours before you use it, and load-and-start it while the filament is still warm. PA sucks compared to normal filaments you're used to. That's what I figured! Most if not all my extrude issues was the tension being...

bumps on abs

This is a sheet of abs, 2 layers at .4mm high with an extrude width of .6mm wide. Are the bumps caused by moisture (see photo)??
Thanks!

Re: esun epa question

Yes, I wondered about that as well.. the spider that holds the platform is very flimsy.. when adjusting level the slightest pressure on it can go from no tension on a feeler to too much.. and as touchy as that is, I could imagine .02 difference in thickness could be just as disruptive.. So in the en...

Re: esun epa question

So is the Glue Stick used for ease or removal?? This eSun EPA sticks SO TIGHT it pulled up the Polyimide factory sheet.. Grrrrrrrrr Freezing was of no help, I guess since nylon does not shrink.. Anyone know if I can just flip the glass so the polyimide is down on the bead? That way I can use glue st...

First layer not evenly extruded

Hey what would cause this under extruded condition on the closest corner in the image, you can see the reflection between each thread.. just did a bed level and set up this nozzle for extrude width and start height using a single wall square and caliper. This is the second time I have run this singl...

Re: esun epa jamming up the drive

Less drive tension -- if you over-squish the filament trying to dig into it, you'll squeeze it into an oval and it will jam. Less tension and go slower :) Thanks! So when you say less tension .. back off from what i have set for 10-15% depth on ABS? Slower you mean print speed .. what is slower.. 4...
