Re: M2 nightmare with soft filiment
I redesigned the stock drive to have a hinge and use springs for tension (see http://forum.makergear.com/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=3283) and I never have to adjust tension when switching between any filaments anymore. I've never run EPA but I don't have any problems running flex stuff.... like mentioned...

Re: M2 nightmare with soft filiment
My issue is the extruder drive design not the settings. I was running cleaning filament and following the manufactures instructions. This issue is the filament jams up in the drive. To much or too little tension and nothing to hold the filament in line if it starts to push out to the side. Then ther...

trying to reach Dave OVER-$-PENT
He has a slick replacement filament drive and bearing sleeve but has not been logged in since April. I have a PM sitting in the outbox.
Anyone know if he resides on other boards where I might have a better chance of getting hold of him?
Thanks!

M2 nightmare with soft filiment
WTH EPA didn't work worth a damn, now bought some cleaning filament and my drive is all jacked up with the carp jammed in it.. Whats the trick, do I need to sell the M2 and buy something with newer technology to use the soft stuff? Probably had the tension too tight but this dive needs an updated so...

Yes, these are for the game Dungeons and Dragons.. which came after my time.. If you search D&D miniatures on Google you will find they are really expensive to buy ready made and you need a lot of them to play the game apparently.. Here is the list that he gave me along with all the SLTs in zip file...

Re: PETG your favorite brand?
Starting the process of dialing in the PETG temp .. using eSun White, height and extruder multiplier are good using Ed's Single wall calibration square. Now trying to get temp and retraction correct, starting with temp. First string test was at 245C as per the info with the spool, fairly stingy.. re...

Re: Nozzle diameter settings
No, just bought the M2 in Feb, not sure I would have wanted to add 2 extruders to the learning curve even if I could have justified the cost. I came in to this hobby with no idea what I would be printing, just wanted to be able to make that dohickey they just don't have at the hardware store.. Then ...

Re: Nozzle diameter settings
I have an M2 and have been printing miniatures for a coworker for weeks and it was a long road. I have been using the .25 nozzle with a .25 Extrusion width. It is important to get your multiplier and starting height correct as even slightly over extruded will make removing support very difficult. So...
