Re: Corner bulging on 90 degree features in 2019

Got a picture of what you are are talking about.. you talking about the Z change bulge? I typically put fillets on all my edges when I design an part even if it is .06 just to eliminate sharp corners as I don't like them.. the Z lumps are a pain and I have found that it is more pronounced when extru...

Re: How to Switch from PETG to to PLA without a clog?

Yes, sometimes you have to manually push it in as it is soft and undersized at times. I have feed rate in octoprint profile for manual extrusion set to 100mmMinute . I have the extrusion lenght set to 5mm so once it starts to come out the hot end, I click 3 or 4 time and push filament if need be, wa...

Re: How to Switch from PETG to to PLA without a clog?

You need to by eSun cleaning filament. When you change filament type you run about 8-10" of this through your hot end a the same temperature as the previous filament. You need to do it slowly so it blends with everything in the nozzle, it is surprising how long it takes to get it flushed. Once your ...

AC powered bed heater

Anyone ever update the M2 heated bed to use an AC powered heater? This thing is really painful waiting for it to reach 110C with the stock DC heater.

Re: Load/Unload filament?

Far as I know, that is how M2 and M3 work. I have no LCD on my M2 so I use Octoprint. My Pi keyboard and mouse are next to the printer enclosure. With Octoprint you can access it from any device on your network.

Re: Getting PVA to stick to PLA

What brand of PLA are you using? All the PLA I have used will print at 215 no problem, in fact I think (been a while) but I print PLA at 220. Of course the M2 only has one extruder. And Yes, with a hot end on and nothing printing any filament is going to leak out, it all does. Please keep in mind th...

Re: Z axis speed at start up?

While we wait for Ed, could you have changed something in the slicer/printer profile? I thought there are different location for a printer to home and the M2 is a little different with something being opposite. In the octoprint profile under axes, there is a check box next to Z which is checked and ...

Re: Getting PVA to stick to PLA

I have a roll of Dow Evolv3d which was sent to me by mistake when I ordered some Nylon from Amazon. All I have is a single extruder M2 so if either of you want this, PM me your address and pay the shipping, and you can have it. https://www.dow.com/en-us/industries/industrial-and-infrastructure/evolv...

Re: which servo pins to use on M2 Rambo board?

And by the way, I will soon be giving a lecture series on how much you can accomplish even if you don't really know what you are doing. You may want to update that to "really don't know what you are doing and don't pay someone to do it for you"!! :D Hate those know-it-alls with deep pockets, they c...
