Re: bubbles in PETG prints?
print velocity might have an effect. there are far fewer bubbles in the straight runs. most of them are in the curves. i'm printing at 247C - maybe I ought to back off to 241 and see what effect it has. ??

bubbles in PETG prints?
This is a wing section I'm designing to use on a foam r/c plane. Wingspan wil be 52 inches and each of these sections is a bit over 7 inches long - length determined by rib geometry. Filament is fresh Exun PETG Clear. I'm using the PETG profile shared on this site. So why am I getting what appear to...

filament feed problem SOLVED (maybe)
Sorry to chew up all this bandwidth. It appears that the problem I was having with filament jams was due to misalignment (malalignment?) of the hot section with the filament feeder. Since the machine hadn't been adjusted or moved between it working just fine and constantly jamming it's a little hard...

V4 Barrel Geometry?
I've worked out a manual way to clean out nozzles; stripper potion + drills, but am uncertain on the barrels. It may be that a barrel becomes useless if the teflon or whatever the liner gets baked. a .066 inch drill will clean out the discharge end and a #40 seems about right for the feed end, but n...

Re: nozzle drawing?
I bought one from them, too. You can see the liner in their photograph. As an aside, one of the benefits of getting into tjis is the discovery of what a marvelously elegant design the M2 hot section is. At hopefully not quite the end of a lifetime with machinery, I've found that a good machine has n...

Re: nozzle drawing?
Yes, it is an M2E with the metal motor bracket. I cleaned out the best nozzle I have, and the throat on the hot end V4 by the way, and now it seems to be ok. I've ordered some more nozzles (.35mm) and another throat as well as asking MakerGear to send me drawings of both the nozzle and the teflon li...
