Re: M2 Quick Start y postion off the bed
The quick-start is running canned code, so the problem has to be in the printer. Run M503 and see if any of the values look off. Here's the M503 results for my M2E: Steps per unit: M92 X88.88 Y88.88 Z1007.70 E471.50 Maximum feedrates (mm/s): M203 X200.00 Y200.00 Z25.00 E25.00 Maximum Acceleration (m...

Re: printing the y-axis too short
The M92 results look OK, in that both X & Y are the same. It could still be something in the slicer that is applying a scale factor. The fact that your off the bed with the quick-start app still points to the printer being off. One thing that is odd is that the M92 values on the M3 are about 10% low...

Re: printing the y-axis too short
I wouldn't expect it to, unless it's really low. All the distance results with the printer are controlled by "steps". If the controller is telling the Y-axis to go N steps, and the distance isn't right, there are a bunch of possibilities: 1) The value of N is too small (software problem). If the ste...

Re: "Print from SD card" no longer working on 2 machines
I have an SD card that I used heavily to schlep files back & forth to my M2E for the last 5 & a half years. It has started not being recognized occasionally when I plug it into my computer and my printer. I now have about a half dozen SD cards I use in rotation, and the next time that one acts up, I...

Check your SD cards for physical damage. A busted one could trash the contacts in the readers.

Re: "Print from SD card" no longer working on 2 machines
What version of S3D? They FINALLY came out with Version 5.0, and it's VERY buggy. They just released 5.01, with a bunch of bug fixes, but I'm not going near it for a while longer.

Re: stuck on the y axis
I'm not familiar with the M3, but my M2 came with an SD card with a few pre-sliced example gcode files. If you can try one of those, and it works, then it's a software issue. If it fails, it's the machine.

Re: *FIX* extruder stops extruding
I never had excess wear at the top of my extruders (I use the filament guide tube), but I've had several that wore out at the bottom. One of my back burner projects is to redesign the filament drive so the lower filament path is lined with a small piece of brass tube. Some of the problem is probably...

Re: Seam on PETG parts
If you are patient & fussy, you can fine tune the seam quality by adjusting your retraction and extra restart distance. A small negative restart distance will do a lot to clean up the seam. That compensates for how much molten filament wants to dribble out the nozzle during the move to the next laye...
