Re: 1st Gen M2 12V Fans Run on 19V?
I think 1st gen M2 was meant to abuse the 12V fans with 19V power. The fans are much quieter (pushing a lot less air) after I installed buck converts, but after two minutes the extruder started to extruding even though it's not set to heat up and followed by magic smoke. The smoke was from the melti...

1st Gen M2 12V Fans Run on 19V?
So all the fans on my 1st gen M2 are running on 19V and they are rated at 12V, wouldn't that shorten the lifespan of the 12V fans? Can voltage be step down in the firmware?

Re: 1st Gen M2 External MOFSET Upgrade
The "Heated Bed" output gets power from the "A Heated Bed" input power terminals. Connect a short wire from the +B terminal ("B Logic ...") to the +A terminal ("A Heated Bed") and It Will Just Work. The PCB traces connect all the - terminals together, so you don't need another jumper. Thank you the...

1st Gen M2 External MOFSET Upgrade
My 1st gen M2 keeps on burning up the MOFSET Heated Bed output on Rambo while keeping the heatbed at 110C for ABS. I've dealt with this issue three times in four years. So I installed an external MOFSET today in hoping it will save some headaches down in the line. But now the bed is not heating up a...

Re: 123D Design Shutting Down
This is why I joined the EAA when it was 25 bucks. Access to Solidworks, granted the app has a learning curve like Everest and is the least intuitive piece of software I have used in a while - but its a stable entity. Solidwroks learning curve is a steep one indeed. But once you understood the conc...

Makergear's STP Solidworks import problem
For some odd reasons that STP files downloaded from Makergear Github won't import into Soildworks 2017 SP1, it gets incomplete file error message. But I have no problem importing STP files from my clients. Any suggestions for workarounds?
