Re: nema17 dampers

I ordered two of the dampers and mine come with a significant amount of the rubber molded out onto the mating faces of the metal (the face that goes against the motor and the other face that goes against the M2 chassis). Should I slice this off or will it not have any effect? The original link inst...

Re: MICRON ALL METAL EXTRUDER - MADE IN ISRAEL

pla was the only thing i could run though it without it jamming issues because as sthone pointed out it is stiff.... i don't typicly like to print with pla. I mounted it with no mounting plate, just using the existing holes... but id did require a special hotend clamp, drill and tap a hole in the ex...

Re: tenative test for mesh leveling

I'm just happy that this feature is finally getting into Marlin. It's been fantastic on the Smoothieboard, but it's a bit over the top to insist that everyone needs to replace their entire electronics board and firmware just to get grid-based correction. But when you think about all the posts on th...

Re: PLA Filament cracking when sitting in printer too long?

I'm not a big pla user but, Inland (eSun) pla did that a lot to me when i was using it for a project. I didn't have that problem with other brands i had on hand.. but.. maybe i was just lucky.

Re: Heatsink on extruder motor (running too hot)

The rated current for these extruder steppers is 1.0A. The heat rise as you increase current is very steep. I have played with various current settings for the extruder stepper and currently keep mine set to .90A I have run it without issue for 4 spools of pla at .5a just as a test without problems....

Re: Heatsink on extruder motor (running too hot)

Steppers run hot... there supposed to...it is normal. unlike motors, steppers draw basiclyt he same current still or moving.. Most hybrid stepper motors are rated for an 80c teperature rise. some are just 80c that is pretty darn hot... personally i don't like to see them above 70c, just to have a sa...

Re: Esun black petg kicking my hiney

Several even coats of hairspray, sprayed on the glass while it is cold, works pretty well. I had really good luck doing the hairspray over Kapton tape, with bed temp of 85°. And I hate to say it, because it costs more $$$, but my favorite by far has been that Zebra plate. Just run the temp in the 8...
