Re: Call for sample prints
Some calibration models would be useful to have. Thin wall boxes, nesting boxes etc. There's some collections on thingiverse that have a half dozen or so calibration objects.

Re: Mounting M2?
My M2 would do that as well when I first got it. I reduced the acelerations on my machine to improve the print quality and it no longer walks around. Print quality was improved as well. I implemented the change through the startup script in S3D by adding the line: M201 X900 Y900 Z200 E10000 to the ...

Re: M2 Heated Enclosure
I've run my enclosure as hot as 42C when printing ABS but I still get issues with gear teeth curling upwards unless I print on a raft. I don't think my curling issue is really related to the ABS cooling too quickly but rather the ABS actually shrinking when it gets too hot. Thus the ABS contacting t...

Re: HBP Harness Strain Relief
My computer is actually not attached to the machine, it is located "below deck" with the wires running up through a hole in the table top. The HBP cable still has plenty of length though. I think I'll zip tie it to the spider arm like jimc did, that would put it in about the right spot. I never did ...

Re: HPB power wire keeps breaking
if properly secured there should be zero movement of the wires from the red plug to the bed. everything there should be strapped up so the only thing flexing at all is the black harness out the back. forward of that first tywrap nothing moves. its completely stationary. dont take your wires straigh...

Re: HBP Harness Strain Relief
Boy you've got a good solution to every problem on this machine don't you. Yes, not having to fix broken wires is better than looking good. Finding something to attach the wires to was stumping me. I thought about maybe trying to zip-tie the harness to the handles of one of the clips that holds the ...

HBP Harness Strain Relief
I'm looking at the complete lack of strain relief on the wires going to the HBP and wondering how long it will be before the wires break from the constant bending motion they experience as the platform moves. Has anyone added strain relief to this area or had their wires break?

Re: Build Plate Corner Mounts
I guess one of my rubber squares was either thicker than the others or it wasn't level. The balls are a nice idea, by supporting at single points you don't even have to worry about how level the pads are. Seems like they would cut back on heat transfer to the spider too. I was concerned about the ad...

Re: Build Plate Corner Mounts
yes, it was the heater plate rocking. The glass was solid against the plate.

Build Plate Corner Mounts
Anyone ever have problems with the build plate not seating flat using the rubber corner mounts? I could not get mine to make contact in all four corners perfectly, thus it would rock if you pressed in the rear right corner. Because of this I could shift it out of level when scraping the glass or pul...
