Re: Call for sample prints
Everywhere I go that has 3D printers (hackerspaces, etc.) there are piles of worthless parts. Bigfoot heads, plastic octopi (the animal, not the 3D print server). I would have preferred if my MakerGear came with a couple of files for genuinely useful stuff instead of the bracelet and bigfoot head th...

Re: How To - Pausing a print at a specific layer. (Simplify3
I just tried this using Octoprint and it doesn't pause at all, it just went all the way through and finished the print. I don't know if it made the Z-move or not since I wasn't in the room, but I assume that it did. Is there a special trick to make this work when printing from Octoprint rather than ...

I've had an M2 for 2 or 3 weeks now. Love it. I've been telling anyone who will listen how good this thing is: http://www.amazon.com/gp/customer-reviews/RARBRJDDPNH3R/ref=cm_cr_pr_rvw_ttl?ie=UTF8&ASIN=B00ELUOERA I've been printing PLA directly on the glass with some smears of Elmer's purple glue sti...

Re: My M2 master profiles.
Just remember - you can't make changes to these settings and then export them from Simplify. You must edit them by hand with a text editor. Rsilver, I'm using your settings right now and they work beautifully, thank you. I'm a little confused by your statement above, can you clarify this for a Simp...

Wow, this is a nice damn printer!
Finally got my M2 kit today a few weeks after ordering. A couple of weeks waiting was a couple of weeks of wondering if I should have gotten something else (tempted by Ultimaker). I've done a lot with 3d Printers over the years, built a Mendel (garbage), built a Makerbot Cupcake clone of my own desi...

Jprochnow,
If you've still got a license available I'll take it. Please PM me or email me at vandal968@gmail.com (note that's an L not a one). Tried to PM you, but since I'm a new user, I'm not allowed to send PM's (grrrrr.... annoying).
Thanks,
