Re: ABS prints not working, wont stick to bed as well???
You absolutely need to use something to get ABS to stick, otherwise you get exactly as you are seeing, no adhesion. It'll never stick to just glass. If you have already put down some of the Kapton tape (the brown stuff), that normally does an okay job. 90, or 100degrees should be hot enough for ABS,...

Re: Stealth mode
Thanks for the Noctua suggestion, and removing the fan grills. I might have to do both, as withing my first few days of owning the M2 I managed to run the 50mm fan into a binder clip, which snapped part of the 40mm fan. So after re-arranging the bolts slightly, the grill is currently the only thing ...

My only real grief with my M2 is the fan noise. I have it sitting on my computer desk which is part of our main open-plan living area of our house, so whenever doing prints the fans are noisy enough to be a nuisance. It seems like the fans are the major cause too - the motors and movement noise when...

Re: Kapton 'Polyamide' Tape - What's the skinny?
+1 for elmers glue. I inititally never bothered as it sounds too silly - that if all these fancy kapton / abs slurry / etc methods couldn't hold - there is no way that kids craft glue could. But have been pleasantly surprised - seems as good, or better than abs slurry. Make sure you only put it down...

Re: Printing from SD card
Keep me posted if you get a Foscam integrated. I have a spare 8910w around I might be tempted to set up if I could view it all from the octopi interface. I haven't tried Octopi, but in the past I found it serverly lacking documentation about how to automatically authenticate it to grab data directly...

Re: Ninjaflex seems to work in the V4!
Nice! Even if they don't bond, you could design the pieces to be mechanically joined - such as dovetailing into one another. Because its printed as one piece, there would be zero tolerances for the fit should stay tight - depends on exactly how spongey the ninjaflex is though I suppose.

There is only really one model of pi being sold nowdays I think, this model B one (there was a model A, but its older): http://www.amazon.com/RASPBERRY-MODEL-756-8308-Raspberry-Pi/dp/B009SQQF9C Be sure to get one of the wifi adapters recommended for raspberry pi's, as I heard they are a bit picky ab...

Re: Glass Bed Dual Purpose?
I do exactly that, kapton+abs-slurry one one side, hairspray on the other. The only practical issue flipping the glass is its effect on the z-endstop calibration. Normally I don't bother adjusting, but just fiddle with first-layer-height. As I have separate S3D profiles for ABS vs PLA anyways, I can...

Re: Printing from SD card
If you want a reasonably priced alternative to printing without a PC, I am a huge fan of Octoprint on a RaspberryPI (known as Octopi). Raspberry PIs are <40 on amazon. There are clear instructions online for setting it all up, then the printer is run completely from the raspberry pi, and you control...

Re: Small Strands in Gaps
Are you referring to the grey/green lines ? They look like rapid travel moves, where the print-head will move to get to the other side but not actually extrude material. They are to be expected.
Side note, you will need to generate supports if that top rail is to be remotely printable.
