Re: Best support settings/orientation for this print

I forgot to thank you for your help Ed. I had neither the time or inclination to mess around with that part too much, so I ended up declining the order.

Re: Best support settings/orientation for this print

Thanks for the reply, Ed. I was so caught up with supports that I didn't even give a thought to the thickness of the bracket... I think I might cut it in to sections as you suggest. Aside from the bracket, I think there are few combinations that would work. Do you have any tips/software suggestions ...

Best support settings/orientation for this print

I'm not sure if this is in the correct section, but I guess it is software related, so here goes.. I need to start a pretty long print (~24 hours) that looks to need significant support. I usually try to step away from supports as much as possible as I have never had much luck with them. The first l...

Re: Z axis moves same direction when jogging - Marlin RC7 Up

It looks like the max acceleration for the Z should be 30, whereas my previous version was 100 (and working fine), so I dropped it down and all is well.

Thanks for your help. Now I just have to try and get this BLtouch configured... but that's a job for tomorrow morning!

Re: Z axis moves same direction when jogging - Marlin RC7 Up

Ed, do you know if there are any settings I need to update from default in the configuration_adv.h tab? I haven't changed anything in there as from what I know it should all be ok as is.

Re: Z axis moves same direction when jogging - Marlin RC7 Up

It looks like it moves as expected when jogging in small increments such as -1mm, but if i try -10mm, the bed drops and I get the funny noise. Thought it might be an acceleration issue, but the settings are the same as previous.

Z axis moves same direction when jogging - Marlin RC7 Upgrad

Hi all, So i just updated to Marlin RC7 as I installed a BLTouch and want to get mesh bed leveling working correctly. Everything generally seems to work ok, but when I jog the Z axis, it appears to work correctly in the +ve direction (bed moves down), but when I jog it in the -ve direction, it goes ...

Re: The MakerGear Website - input requested

FYI - A couple of the links in the top navigation bar (black background) don't appear to be redirecting to the correct page. Instead, they bring you back to the main/landing page. Maybe this is because there is no parent page and you have to select from the drop down on the other menu just below it,...
