Re: 3D Digitizing Services
Shoot them an email. They don't monitor the site very closely. Took me a week or so when I joined.

Re: 3D Digitizing Services
The scan itself is fairly fast depending on the complexity of the the model. The time consuming part is aligning and post processing. My reengineering talents are extremely limited and I don't have the software I really need. I use a combination of DesignSpark, FreeCad and a couple others. On one mo...

Re: 3D Digitizing Services
They don't have software for a Mac, that's why I had to get the laptop... grrr. Oh well, that's what I get for being a Mac guy. With my setup I can do from about 3" to 12" but you can go much larger if you build a larger calibration panel. I just have the stock David panels. I still think for the mo...

Re: 3D Digitizing Services
I'm quite happy with the David SLS-2 setup. I bought the David 4 software, my own K132 projector, Industrial CCD, Lens, V-rail, printed the mounts for the projector and camera and bought a new laptop to run it all. My all in price was $2100 w/ the laptop. On the David forum there all the info you ne...

Re: First Layer
I clean the bed with denatured alcohol before each print so I know it's nice and clean. Seems to do it on the back half of the bed. I turned the part sideways and printed on the front half and it was much better. Guess I need to check level again although I just did it. Only seems to do it in spots.

First Layer
What causes this? I've tried different temps, Z off sets, etc. Bed is pretty dead level except for the slight Makergear hump on the x.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Re: Build plate, high spot in the center...
I'm deciding now whether 0.12mm is worth messing with. I may try and tweak the belt tension and check the torque of the screws to see if I can effect any change to the better. I don't have any brass shims available at the moment.
