Surface Mounted Push Buttons
I've been trying to provide some surface mounted push buttons for my projects. I have an approach which works, but I'm unsure if there are better ways to do it. The first type of button are these microswitches which I received erroneously in a banggood order (got a bag of 100 rather than the actuall...

Re: The Doodalu
I got round to sizing up the shield in the picture above last night and modifying the software a little bit too accommodate it (not updated the public openjscad yet). Adds the ability to extend the case on the left and right of the arduino and adds an option for putting a grill on the base. Didn't b...

I just worked something out while looking at that last pic :

Re: Parametric Female/Female Pin Connector
I'm easily distracted me (easily amused too) - taking a break from making boxes, and revising this one for fun and giggles. It occurred to that I can use this for solderless circuit building and having a bunch of about 100 microswitches (which were sent to me from banggood erroneously) and some lase...

Re: The Doodalu
Well, the first attempt at a Mega print came out pretty well: 2016-03-05 22.13.10.jpg Had to cheat a little to create the lid as the software isn't quite right there (was planning to reorganise the hole specification anyway), but all in all, not too bad. And certainly more than enough space to accom...

Re: The Doodalu
At this point, I have no idea :). Just trying to see what I can do with the hardware and design. I have a few ideas for software, of which simple games do feature, but it won't be capable of emulation afaik - there's a serious lack of memory on the Uno, and I doubt it has the processing power to rea...

Re: The Doodalu
Half joking, half serious :) - there was a suspicion in the previous thread that my printer isn't completely configured correctly. But more specifically (and this is where I get a bit technical), I want to extend the case and add on 5 buttons. Thnk up, down, left, right and fire for some basic games...

Thanks Jules .
I'm quite sure it could come out better though .

The Doodalu
I introduced this in another thread - my first attempt at a parametric model for Arduino based projects. This is the print and the two components required: 2016-03-04 17.01.31.jpg This comprises an Arduino Uno and a touch screen shield which I acquired (eventually) from banggood . It took about 6 we...

Re: Hitman
Ah - that's cool. I have all the components for that too :). Looks to me like an Arduino Nano should be a good fit for that - have a few and was working up to addressing those. Was considering cheating and mounting it on a mini breadboard to make the internal wiring that much easier. ETA: Scratch th...
