Re: makergear site logo
I'll have to say these designs look nice, but I would like to see more variety. None of them jump out at me and say this is the one. Also, they share a common theme, that is, Gear as the gears in a transmission rather than Gear as in equipment to do a job. If I saw one of these designs out of contex...

Re: makergear site logo
Yeah, I wasn't sure what I could upload here. I can make any of the graphics formats.I think you need a GIF or PNG with a transparent background.
I actually started working on a pretty elaborate scheme, however, I realized that the size of the image doesn't really allow much.

Re: makergear site logo
Well, we could start with the obvious and see where it goes from there. The site logo image needs a transparent background so that the banner color will show through. I've included a blue background in this image for visual reference only. M2 image is a modified version of an image from the MakerGea...

rsilvers post under Fastbot BBP: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vsu_vAKvRO0 X5 controller is based on it also. [lem edit - referring to Marlin] I looked at the video and the presenter specifically states that Marlin will not run on this controller board without major modification. I also looked at ...

Re: Fastbot BBP
I did take a quick look at the firmware. BBP is calling their firmware "Unicorn". I did a quick visual comparison of the Unicorn motion.c routine and the motion_control.c routine from the Marlin firmware downloaded from Makergear (M2_Marlin_24r1) and the modules are essentially the same. Marlin has ...

Re: Fastbot BBP
Does their license allow you to do that? @insta; I really don't know. Since they posted it on Kickstarter I assumed that anyone could get it. I am not a backer and don't have any connection with the project. Their Kickstarter claim: The license of BBP board is CC-BY-SA, the license of other extensi...
