Re: Mic 6 tooling plate

I'll takes pic of my mine also when I get back from the road this weekend ... it is on a mb replicator 1 for the m2 you can have it heated directly and it be removable ... though it means leaving the deans connectors exposed...those plugs are designed to be replugged a lot and is why they are used f...

Re: Mic 6 tooling plate

One of the two most effective mods I did to my other printer was to change to a 1/4" precision ground plate. The heater. Is directly attached and preheat time doubled but was worth it. I use it to almost excusivly print abs onto kapton. The reason this mod was done was to eliminate warping of the or...

Re: Smoothie M2

It's remarkably easy to push very hard with a fingertip. cant disagree with you...what your saying makes perfect sense. i did tear it down and and confirmed the play in the bearing.. though it seems it is within spec.. just leads to movement at the end of the spider. i'm not saying that some of the...

Re: Smoothie M2

I spent a good 3 hours disassembling parts of the machine and looking where the play is along with trying out some some fixes that had no effect. in short, my bearing does have play, but it is totaly within its spec. so id not call it "bad" but needs to be better if keeping the current design... yea...

Re: Smoothie M2

CPC is the same brand as mine. I'll do that for the springs since I am going to take them apart anyway to have a look see...... id say I am probably pretty close to that now, but not from actually following that. just out of pure experience with other bots and not wanting it loose and bouncy ... tho...

Re: Smoothie M2

If you have no play on the bed springs, check the screws. The screws that are called out in the instructions are about 2mm too long for the job, in my opinion, because if you tighten them down too much, the ends of the screws will be hitting the heated bed plate. wow I practically leaped up and che...

Re: Smoothie M2

thanks, that's good information. that also helps put things in perspective. generally I don't have bad prints, in fact I get really god prints... I can push it / aggravate it to make bad prints. but I guess you can push anything to not perform well. but in general, if I keep the acceleration and / o...

Re: Smoothie M2

flop aorund like a fish on the deck of a boat. Except that it really doesn't do that. Well that's not true for me...maybe my linear Bering bad??? yes sure you can make things better by slowing acceleration and print speeds.. but not the goal really :) I'm not sure the silicone spacers will help me....
