If that's a RevE machine , the heated bed plate under the glass is supposed to rest on four very small black screws that sit very tight against the rubber brackets, and it's possible if you are not careful to evenly space the heated bed plate when you put it into the brackets, to miss one of those s...

Transparent/translucent actually doesn't work very well with deposited plastic, (at least in my opinion), because you can see the fill pattern inside. It tends to look striped. Thin wall vases are the only exception, and how many of those do you really need?

Practice doing it a few times and you'll get more comfortable with it.....you really can't break anything - the worst that can happen is you feed it wrong and have to back it out. When you feed it in, do it in steps of 10 mm or so, and if it's not moving forward, STOP, retract it and try again with ...

If they are coming out with a new model, they tend to test out the improvements using volunteers from the forum several months before it happens.

Yeah flat works for me. (Angled cuts get misaligned more often than not. Might be the spacing between the drive and the gear in the new machines.)
