Could you provide a G-Code you tried to print with no success?
Then we can determine if there is some thing wrong with the code or even print it our self and see what happens.

Re: Switching back and forth between PLA and ABS
I print ABS with Hairspray at 96C, I'm not using Kapton at all anymore.
Hairspray works for both but be Passion with PLA it sicks sometime really good to the plate, you might need to soak it in water for a while to get it lose.

Re: Switching back and forth between PLA and ABS
I wouldn't recommend putting anything at the bottom side because of heat transfer. In the end I ended up with two glass plates at first, but now I use Hairspray for both mostly. I just started playing around with Elmer's glue which reminds me that I was going to open a tread about it. You can also j...

Re: Using ABS
An easy test is set your temperature to 250C and the Bed to 96C manually and print the Bracelet from MakerGear.
This is what I did when having trouble with filament.
This way you know the GCode works and you need to set the Temp. anyway.

Re: Y-Axis can't find zero right
Update with good news! :D I'm up and running again. It looks like that jsc was dead on with his EMI thread in an earlier post. See here I did some troubleshooting with Josh and his explanation made the difference, because I separated the wires and still had the same trouble but he said I need...

Re: Y-Axis can't find zero right
Hi Toby, Yes I'm still investigating whats going on, I have no clue about C programming i'm not much of a help there. Right now I work with Josh on the Heated Bed trouble. I tried what you mentioned there is no trouble with the X-Axis works fine. The Y-Axis I tried 100 to 1000 in 100 increments and ...

Re: Y-Axis can't find zero right
Hi Toby,
No you didn't misunderstood at that time.
But I tied again after the the last attempt with 30 mm steps and it happened again I can't get any lower in order to get a clear result.
I don't know if it just didn't happened last time.
Michael

Re: Y-Axis can't find zero right
Hi Toby, sorry I didn't attach the GCode in first place, I fixed that. jsc wrote: What I am interested in is if it ever stops short when you are not using the Home Y button, just when it is commanded to do a long y axis travel move.
