Re: Introducing Ultra One
Thank you jferguson @kskiff & monkeyscript: The Ultra One is intended for industrial use and is a beast (weighs over 100 lbs). You really need to see it to appreciate the work that goes into it. We'll be looking for ways to get the cost/weight down for a more general purpose machine but that is goi...

Re: Introducing Ultra One
"MakerGear printers are designed and constructed with an uncompromising commitment to quality—without sacrificing the components critical to precision, repeatability, and durability. " Rick, this sentence should be revisited. Commitment to quality does not suggest any sacrifice. Maybe something like...

Re: new "used" M2 Rev E question
I bought 3 extra plates before working up my nerve to use the 2 inch tape. Instead of soapy water I used Windex. The process is as airscape notes, a bit messy, but I've been printing on the tape plate with PETG and Elmers Super Gluestick and it's worked well for the things I print - not a lot of sur...

Re: Black ePC - disappointing first print
Karl, is the new printer enclosed? I ask because one would expect the black ePC to emit heat faster - ie, cool down sooner, which might affect adjacent layer bonding. If extruding at a higher temperature causes other problems, it seems possible that there is no (NO) satisfactory way to print with th...

Re: Black ePC - disappointing first print
thanks much Karl, I imagined 247 was a bit too hot. I've had very good luck with elmer's extra strength stick glue on kapton. I have a piece of fiberboard which I use for removal of prints where there is a fairly solid face sitting on the kapton. I put the glass on a bench, line up the fiberboard wi...

Re: Black ePC - disappointing first print
Karl, I've been printing eSun PETG clear at 247C for thin shells for R/C aircraft wings. they seem pretty strong to me, but i will have to mess with rafts to deal with what appears to be some shrinkage distortion just above the table - first 3/8 inch or so. No fan, bed at 87C. What temperature do yo...
