Re: Makergear M2 stops extruding after many hours midprint

There are filament filters on thingyvers that the filament goes through and it removes any plastic dust on the filament (I have stopped using them as I didn't print any as I got more and more rolls and have had no issue yet) The drive gear and planetary gears withing the extruder drive wear out, but...

Re: PETG Pin Holes?

yes, .4 not the .42 you had said you were using. My M2 has a bowed gantry, with the sides out as much as .06 higher than the center, so I do most of my printing in the center if it small and since I only print stuff for myself, don't have to fill the bed. One of these winter days here soon I will ge...

Re: PETG Pin Holes?

well you should have NO adhesion issues if using the polymide tape that is stock on the M2 glass. If just glass, then Elmer's purple glue stick worked but I prefer the tape. If it is not sticking and you are using polymide, then your starting height is too high. Here is a link to a factory file for ...

Can't help with the M3, but I would suggest if you don't get a good answer before tomorrow, give support a call.

Re: burned(?) PETG in prints

I have seen that a few times with my white Esun PETG. It happens when plastic get stuck to the nozzle and eventually fall on to the part. Having your starting height perfect is a must along with sufficient retraction to prevent strings. I have found with my M2 using S3D that reducing the default X/Y...

Re: M3 Probes Breaking

Did I see correctly that the m3 uses a bl touch? Oh man how I despise those things. One of the projects on my list is to convert my z-probe-less M2 to accept a piezo disk so the nozzle will act as the probe. I did a piezo conversion on my other printer and have to say that it’s the best z probe I h...

Re: Horizontal axis inaccurate - M3 SE

Good to hear it!
Another thing I did with layer height with the miniatures and not sure it is even valid really.. but I would find the max height of the model and choose the layer height that would divide most evenly into it (above .1 and below .2)
