BLTouch Auto Leveling Sensor
BLTouch is an auto-leveling sensor that uses a retractable z-stop instead of a inductive sensor. The indiegogo campaign ended in November and they're selling them direct now. I've ordered a couple to test. Precision is an initial concern but the idea is interesting. https://www.indiegogo.com/project...

Maghold Build Plate?
I found this website searching around. http://hilo90mhz.com/maghold-build-platform-for-the-makergear-m2-3d-printer/ Not sure if he's a member here but I'd be interested in hearing experiences with the magnetic build plate. I'd like to be able to swap in different sheets. I've been using PEI with goo...

Re: Quieter Fans
I recently changed out the extruder and electronics fan for the 40mm Noctua. I bought the Noctua 60 as well but thought cracking the internal case on the power supply more than I wanted to tear into. I did replace the the 50mm bed fan with a 15x50 24V blower instead of the 50mm fan. So far I'm happy...

Re: Snapped Hot End
I believe it is for the heat break to prevent too much heat from creeping upward. Scott explained the following: The v4 can be loosened with a few thermal cycles as long as the nozzle is loose or removed. Just heat to 270ºC then cool to room temp a dozen times or so and see if the heat block falls o...

Re: Snapped Hot End
Let me guess you tried to change the nozzle with it mounted in the press right? :( Looking at the broken one I have  it looks like they are press fit together. I was looking at ordering some materials to try and fix the one I have... does anyone know what type of PTFE these are lined with? I ...

Re: Snapped Hot End
Thank you both for the input. I'll hang onto the broken one then.

Snapped Hot End
I recently picked up a new M2 and ordered a stainless nozzle for printing glow and brassfill. In the process of taking apart my hotend, I snapped it at the heatbreak. Lesson learned on how delicate it is. I've order 2 more from Makergear. Is the broken one now junk? Is the assembly 1 piece or is the...
