Re: Dual extruder feed problems
Jules, Yup - adjusted the tension per your posts first thing. These are all materials I have used before (in fact, same spools). Right now I am trying it with PLA (Not ideal) after taking the hot end apart for a full cleaning. No windows 10. Still seems like these extruders are much more picky than ...

Dual extruder feed problems
Community, I have just had a chance to install and start using the dual extruder, at this point I am just using one extruder. We are trying to print out some larger robot models for my son (6-12 hrs) and have repeated problems with it just stopping feeding, sometimes hours in. I tried adjusting the ...

Re: Favorite Print Surface?
Rick, A "marketing" thought: A few months ago while I was trying to navigate the features and follies of 3D printers, I remember being impressed by the TAZ-5 PEI surface. Based on what I read about PEI, I wondered why more were not offering it. I considered that a differentiator for the TAZ (but not...

3D Strenth test results and invitation
I have been experimenting with testing the strength of 3D printed materials. I built a test rig (see below) and made a google form to capture results and a sheet to capture results. I welcome others to submit tests as well with their own test setup. I can also do a limited number of tests if you wou...

Re: Solvent Bonding
I tried Weld-on with PETG, didn't seem to bond well. It was just a quick test, perhaps I didn't do it right. I was able to pull it apart without much trouble. I would also like to be able to bond PET.
One reason I have been trying to make friends with ABS is to be able to bond it.

Re: looking to purchase a M2 but am getting discouraged
I have been in a similar position as you, at this four a couple of months now with an M2. I started to document some impressions here: http://forum.makergear.com/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=2538 But really should update it some more with recent experiences. You can see the rest of my journey by searching fo...

Re: Kinda-sorta enclosed build area for ABS
Really! I thought I must have insulted someone's grandma for such silence! Or perhaps my fly was open in the picture? On second thought, it was probably just trying not to say "stupid idea". For those that have other enclosures, it would be very useful to know the ambient, bed and hot end temps you ...

Awesome!
(now, do we need more speakers, don't know - but the engineering is impressive!)

Kinda-sorta enclosed build area for ABS
I have been avoiding ABS in favor of PLA and the new favorite – PET. But there seems to be some advantages to “old school” ABS, such as you can bond it. So I thought I would give it a try and looked at the enclosure options that seem to be almost required for ABS. But I don’t expect this to be used ...

Re: Yet another camera bracket for the D-Link DSC Series
Nice. I'm happy to see people trying Fusion. If I might make a suggestion... I took a look at your model history, and it could be done in fewer steps and with more adjustability if you used sketches instead of creating solids and moving them around. Basically, draw shapes on 2D planes then extrude ...
