Re: Quick Start - 2mm hex wrench step not available?

Now, I think that I understand that the leveling procedure first checks the leveling, and then only directs you to make mechanical adjustments if it detects a non-level bed. That is, unless I'm still making ignorant assumptions, and talking out my back end. That is what I understood too. It seems m...

Re: Same G Code, Different results?

I've got to thank you Jules for involvement on that forum. I've read countless of your threads prior to asking questions and I have to say they got me going pretty as I did pretty neat things! I read that fan thing from you in one of your post, so I installed thins 120 mm fan I had laying around (ye...

Re: Same G Code, Different results?

Thanks for your inputs! I will work on cooling and retraction. There is something I do not understsand tough. If the strings are created by the nozzle moving from one part to the other, ther should be about 2 strings per layer, the one coming from the precedent part and the one going to the next par...

Re: Same G Code, Different results?

Yeah I agree with what you say. The thing is, I like the one on the right much more, that is, the one that was printed alone...
I would like to replicate this quality with the whole set in one print...

Same G Code, Different results?

So here's the thing. I just printed a Chest set for my kids. I did the whole set in one print. But I broke one of the pawn while removing it. Luckily, the models were still in my simplify 3D screen. So I simply removed all the other models from the screen, only keeping the pawn. I changed nothing wi...

Re: How to pause without layer separation

Yes I read that and it worked beautifully a couple of weeks ago! First time I tried and never succeeded to start the print back. I think it was because I used M0 instead of M25. I found the M0 code in a general Gcode library, nothing directly related to the MG M2. Now that I use M25, I can easily re...

How to pause without layer separation

Hello! Whenever I pause my print, whether it is to insert a nut, change the filament, for one minute or for one hour, I get layer separation. It seems to get worst the longer I pause the print, but not by much. I tried turning off my bed fan a few layers prior to the pause to slow down the cooling, ...

Re: Tolerances: To you guys that assemble parts

Yeah I pretty much do what you do for now and apply tolerance case by case. But I use normalized tolerances that calculate themselves based on the nominal dimensions. So tolerancing is pretty straight forward. Nominal dimensions on the CAD are what I use when I send out models to be CNC machined. Bu...

Tolerances: To you guys that assemble parts

In my line of work and based on what they thaught me at school, I always design and dimension my drawings to the nominal dimensions, adding tolerances further down the road. That would make a bore and a shaft the same nominal diameter, but with different tolerances that would make sure they assemble...

Re: Quick Start - 2mm hex wrench step not available?

I did went through five calibrations every time. But I was pretty sure I would have nine to do. Here's what I got from the Youtube Video: (timestamps are within the links) 1. Z Height first calibration https://youtu.be/L85goRYoSQE?t=1m46s 2. Bed level with software https://youtu.be/L85goRYoSQE?t=2m3...
