Re: ABS warping during cool down

I'm learning and that's the important thing.

Will stepping down the temp on the heated bed help?
Been running all layers at 96.

Re: Favorite way to prep your bed surface for printing ABS?

Aquanet unscented hair works for me with a static bed temp.

I use a skirt to make sure the first bead extrudes evenly.

Re: Filament

Used 3 different ABS brands, purchased off Amazon, all printed OK.
This was more of a test, than brand loyalty. Makergear's filament is top notch,
but there's many choices in colors if you decide to purchase other brands.

Amazon's reviews will point you in the right direction.

ABS warping during cool down

Found a thread on warping issues about PLA. I have no issues with PLA, bed temp 60, unscented Aquanet hair to get prints to stick. I do have problems with ABS when I printed out some fishing lures, thinner tail section got .250" upwards warp/curl. After the printing was over during cool down. Bed te...

S3D software questions??

What's the factory file about and used for? Just been using a folder, then accessing g code files as needed. After the build is over, I have to close out and restart S3D. I cannot remove the g code preview/build file and begin anew without restarting S3D. Is there another way? Know now, this topic i...

Re: Using ABS

Members here are wonderful!

What a resource this board is!

Pretty stoked after conquering ABS, already had a handle on PLA that seems to be more forgiving.

First time with the Aquanet, that stuck down the ABS like a magnet on top of the Kapton.

Will try just the hair spray soon.

Re: Using ABS

Success 15 hours later! Blind alley was the set screw, I will be ordering a spare gear and extra set screw. I use 24 pound paper, my business card a thick, using common item to measure is OK for some, but I have calipers that read to .0000 and would have rather mic-ed the dimensions. Raised the bed ...

Re: Switching back and forth between PLA and ABS

What temperature do you run your bed at with Kapton tape printing in ABS?

Have the recommended hair, haven't tried that yet, but will.
Does the hair spray work with both PLA and ABS on just the glass build table?

Re: Using ABS

Curly Qs in the skirt, laid out before the raft?

This does not look like that when I print in PLA.

Raised the setting to 260 to get the ABS to stick to the bed Kapton tape:
