Re: Poor Print quality and Error message

When E3 went from thermistor to thermocouple it was one of the happiest days of my life. I freaking hate thermistors, I cannot count the number I have destroyed before I even got them on the damn hotend.

Perhaps this is something Makergear could look at.

Re: How You Too Can Achieve Printing Nirvana

Nice write up. Is this auto levelling or full mesh levelling? Also can you link to the induction probes you purchased. Links are not quite there in the instructions you posted.

I set one aside for you, I'm just terrible about responding to PMs. It's one of my production bead-blasted ones.

Woot. You are awesome.

Re: Glue belt in belt clamp - a bad idea?

When to replace belts has always been one of my big questions. What do others look for as an indicator that the belt is reaching the end of its life? Sorry if this is hijacking the thread. On that note I read the walkthrough someone did in regards to shimming their belt clamps which seemed very easy...

Re: Nozzle Temp Cuts out

Because it happens even after the changing of the heater and thermistor I would be looking at the connector between the thermistor/heater and the controller. Perhaps that micro connector has issues. If thats not the case then its tracing the wire back to the board. It seems to be related to movement...

Re: EAA offers solidworks to its members

I think I am going to take advantage of this. I love Fusion 360 but I am always interested in learning something new. That being said I feel kind of guilty as I have zero interest in experimental aircraft ... wish I could gift the magazine portion to someone who would get use of it.

Re: How to restart an incomplete print

I use WeldOn (number 4 I think) for gluing PETG parts. Its a pain in the ass to work with as its runny but get yourself a couple of smaller squeeze bottles with micro tip applicators and you will be fine. I get very good bonding.

Re: How to restart an incomplete print

Its worth keeping in mind if you get the values wrong one of two things can happen. 1) You ram the print head into the print and damage it or the printer. 2) You start too high and you print into empty air and it looks like crap. This is the reason I will opt for splitting large parts whenever possi...

Re: Extruder Acceleration - Holy Crap!

I don't know how to say this without sounding incredibly lazy, but someone needs to keep testing this. I'm always looking for better settings, and gave these settings a try and have produced some of the best prints that I can remember seeing. Very nice work here Zemlin with the testing and experime...
