Andy, If you heat up your hotend to print temp you can clean the outside of the nozzle with a small wire brush. I also like to perform a Cold Pull every once in a while, or when I am changing filament, just to keep the hotend clean. You can get instruction here: https://makergear.zendesk.com/hc/en-u...

Try heating up your hotend to printer temperature. If the temperature is consistent, move the extruder assembly back and forth by hand. If you get those large temperature fluctuations the problem is probably your extruder harness.

Have you checked to see if your 6-pin power connector is fully seated? It is possible to connect and heat your bed and hotend and not have any motor function.

We just printed a heart (anatomical not valentine version) with Ninja flex. It took just over 80 hrs.
