Re: My enclosure
I just finished putting an 80mm fan in the back of mine (and some smaller venting holes up the top-rear to letting the hot air out). The temp inside the box very quickly rises to 30C (with the bed at 70C), and the 80mm fan is running almost constantly to try and keep it there (the fan is attached to...

Re: PET+ on V4
Wonder if its been left out in the open and absorbing moisture, I would guess so, but 1.75->1.85 is a pretty significant amount, 11% by volume, so couldn't be moisture. I'll dig around on the roll tonight and check if its that big everywhere, and if its that big when cold. I do have my printer in a ...

Re: PET+ on V4
I was thinking here it might be temps as I was getting similar jamming issues with v3b at 245, and 255 fixed it - though maybe I managed to tweak something that reduced nozzle build-up at the same time and the temp increase was never the problem - if you are saying as low as 235 should work too. The...

PET+ on V4
I got my V4 set up the other night, and went to start using some opaque PET+ through it, and had no end of troubles with extruder jambs. I think half the problems were my own, I initially didn't have the extruder mount on tight enough, so it wasn't seated fully, then I must have been overextruding a...

Re: Single V4 Extruder Fisrt Look.
Anyone have recommendations on what kind of settings to start with for the V4 (versus v3b). I recall seeing mention of reducing coast/retraction. Should we be able to use the same temps as v3b ?

Re: v4 Status
They should have been in the box, at least, mine were. I believe it was the paper that was wrapped around the rest of the parts. Question on the hotend - is the thermistor meant to be a loose fit in the block ? Mine slid straight out easily when turn the whole thing upside down. I would have expecte...

Re: Two printers, one computer?
Octoprint, and glue stick. The answers to 90% of 3d printing problems :-D! There is even a brand new RaspberryPi that just launched (though it having availability issues). I'm not clear if there is any real advantage when just running OctoPi. Though perhaps it means you will be able to pick up V1 Mo...

Re: Project phone screen onto ceiling..?
No small LCD won't have enough power to directly shine onto the wall with - ie they don't produce enough light - even if you could find/buy/build the required optics. At my work they have special webcams designed for pointing at cell phones (though I think the webcam part is just a logitech webcam, ...

Re: Modified Ikea enclosure
Well, I grew up in Australia, so I can handle Celcius just fine :-) Isn't C easier when dealing with printer related things anyways ? Given most of what we talk about for printer bed/extruder temps are all in C too. Even if I preferred Fahrenheit for my home thermostat, I'd get constantly confused w...
