"it's more that the firmware won't care after a certain precision. i don't know what it is, but .1905 will be close enough"
That's what I figured. Thanks, I'll try it.

Re: M2 Accuracy -- What's reasonable to expect?
"Try "0.1905" as your layer height. That cleanly divides." I also got 101.96. I did some math and got to .1905329 which was good to 5 decimal places (theoretically). I realize 1/10 millionth of a millimeter accuracy is too much to ask. Are you saying that .1905 is close enough? I'm not trying to be ...

Re: Properly canceling a print on M2 Rev. E SE using LCD
It has happened twice. Both times the Hot End and Bed turned off. Fans stayed on but since I was there I just turned the M2 off. I've had no problems printing off an SD card after unplugging my computer (I almost always do this/some 15 hour+ prints). I look forward to the M3's new approach. I hope i...

Re: Properly canceling a print on M2 Rev. E SE using LCD
"If I were setting the printer up today, Octoprint on a Pi, networked through the house WiFi, would make more sense, but it wasn't quite ready for prime time a few years ago." I've had the odd problem with the LCD. It's nice to be able to unplug my laptop but making any changes via the LCD during a ...

"It does look more like pottery in the pictures, but as is usually the case the pictures don't look right. In real life these prints look completely matte (no glossiness). Polywood FFF: http://justine-haupt.com/Makergear/PolyWood.fff FYI my other FFFs are in the same directory and the one labeled Po...

Re: New method for making parts stick and come off easily
I saw a difference in adhesion and first layer height when I removed the kapton from the glass plate (after removal I had some corners coming up on a 3"x6" box). I releveled the bed and had no more problems. How thick is 3 coats of this stuff? Could that be affecting things? I'm still happy with Aqu...

Yes. Curitiba and Porto Allegre were my favorite cities in Brasil. Your prints are beautiful. I'll have to get better at finishing prints.

Re: Filament Empty Alarm
I figured the weight estimate was much easier (as you pointed out it's simple math really). I've also looked at the sheer number of moves a print can need and it is amazing.

Re: Filament Empty Alarm
"That's interesting that the S3D weight estimate is so accurate, given that their time estimates are way off. I've found that the actual print times are about double what S3D says they will be." I've been wanting to post about this. I've had S3D since the beginning (it saved me from RepG!!!). The S3...
