Re: Does the M2 work in non-cumulative mode with the G-code?
[Edit] Hold the phone. It may be very simple. If you tell S3D to generate relative addressing then you shouldn't have to change anything in the G code that it generates. On the surface it sounds like an interesting job.
One thing to consider, with a 150mm diameter fan spinning at 50,000 rpm your blade tips will be traveling at 706,858 Km/hr or 439,221 miles/hr.

Re: Losing communication
We could all lobby the S3D group to implement check sums. Marlin already supports them, S3D does not.

Re: Glowforge laser printer
I dont get the gripe with cloud processing. My main issue is something like this: I have a deadline to deliver a product on Friday. It's an easy project so I start it on Wednesday. My DSL goes down and the telephone company says sure we can fix it -- next week. Or, the internet goes down. Don't bel...

Re: Glowforge laser printer
I finally got an answer from Glowforge about the "cool features" that they have that is their reason for running in the cloud.
The answer was that they thought I would be happier if I bought one of their competitor's products.

Re: Glowforge laser printer
It may be just a startup issue, but every time I try to get some information about this product they spout the company line, but when asked for details they clam up tighter than, ----- pick your favorite analogy ------ (mine are not printable  ) I have worked with many proprietary products and ...

Re: Glowforge laser printer
This is an interesting device. I took a little time to try to get more information. I have lots of reservations about "cloud" software so I asked if the unit could be used in a stand alone configuration. Here is the answer from Glowforge support: Many of Glowforge's coolest features are possible bec...
