Re: PEI bonded to Mic6
I have made two attempts to laminate with silicone and both have failed. The first was a technique issue - I don't have a press so I'm using multiple woodworking clamps. I had two issue with my first attempt - I poured the entire amount of adhesive in the center of the plate, but it never worked its...

Re: Nylon
I've had good luck printing nylon on a GAROLITE LE linen phenolic build plate. You might also try glue stick.

Re: PEI bonded to Mic6
I've wanted to get some heavy plates for clamping build surfaces for a long time - today I finally broke down and ordered them. A pair of 12x12x3/4" MIC6 plates - from McMaster. To minimize nozzle pick-up I run with zero z-lift. Each lift generally creates a tiny string that will pick up on the nozzle next lap. I also keep travel moves over the part to keep ooze from depositing on the outer layer.

Re: PEI bonded to Mic6
I have considered trying some sort of bond, because you are right - the tape only works for a while. I have a PEI sheet now that needs to be re-bonded - not for an M2 though - it's 12"x12". Needing heavier plates for clamping is also a deterrent for me ... just more $$$. Sounds like you have a great...

Re: M2 Build Plates Slowly Deforming
Thanks Zimlin! But what about belt tension? I have them looser than they were from the factory but not sure how loose is too loose. I basically pulled them thight enough to take out any slack but only about 1/2 the original PULLEM tight tension.. Belt tension on timing/toothed belts is not that cri...
