Help! did I just fry my motherboard?
This is what happens when you stop printing everyday, things get stuck and fixing them just makes things worse. I tried to get NinjaFlex to print, the extruder kept getting jammed, I tried cleaning filament, and it didn't go through. Ended up taking the whole head apart cleaning it (including replac...

Re: V4 clogged nozzle - where can I find spares?
Found the nozzle page under Upgrades. Seems weird that V4 is still considered an upgrade given that this is the standard hotend for a year or more...

V4 clogged nozzle - where can I find spares?
I clogged two of them and don't have spares now. Where can buy spare ones? I found nozzles for V3 hotends on the MakerGear site but not for V4.
I am using PETG (love that stuff) and it seems to clog the nozzle once in a while.
Thanks
Nir

Re: Help - extruder mishaps
I am printing another drive (using the extruder that does work). So updates only after the print (and dinner). Printing a new filament drive proved to be useless -- I printed in PTEG and filament path was too narrow... I did revisit the original drive, and this time cleaned the path with a 2mm dril...

Thanks again Jules, Tim, and Insta for the suggestions.

Re: Help - extruder mishaps
Maybe. Since it's a V4, you should be able to see the filament come out the bottom of the drive and go into the top of the hot-end. Is it getting that far? The most common place to get stuck is going into the hot-end, if the filament drive is out of alignment with the hot-end. If it's stuck in the ...

Re: Help - extruder mishaps
Tim, thanks for the reply. Indeed the initial problem started when the print got into long straight lines. I was planning to printing again with slower speed. However, since then I replaced the whole head (hotend) and still cannot solve my problems. The new head did not get to print anything, it fa...

Re: Help - extruder mishaps
Reduce the tension on the Filament Drive Screw. (Better yet, back the filament out and check the tooth marks. The bite needs to be under 15%.) http://forum.makergear.com/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=2694 And go sloooooooooow for PETG. (It do like to jam.) :D Jules, I printed with settings that worked great ...

Re: Help - extruder mishaps
Given the full explanation (and thanks for giving a full explanation, it helps a lot), I can guess what is happening based on at least one similar experience. I think the hot-end is jamming, where a "jam" is better than a "clog" (not that there's any rigorous dictionary definition, mind you) becaus...

Help - extruder mishaps
Hi, I thought I knew how to troubleshoot my printer, but I guess it that asked for troubles :-( . Short version: when I try to extrude the filament seems to "bunch up" inside the extruder guide and then get stuck (see picture). I verified that this is not a clogged head (problem repeats with new hea...
