Clear ABS issues
So far i've run through a spool of purple hatchbox, yellow hatchbox and green (the brand escapes me at the moment) just fine. but this clear....is it the brand (generic) of clear abs that is difficult to work with or is clear in general difficult? In my extremely limited time of doing this I've foun...

Re: best add on control panel
You can install Octoprint on a PC/Mac. but i dont think that is what you are going for here. If your're on a mac, you should be able to simply bring up octopi.local in a browser and get to the interface. But first you'll need to do the password change and the sudo raspi-config and extend the space o...

Re: Strange Wave Patterns
I'm just spit-balling here as I'm new to all of this, but maybe change print speed?
Resonance issue possibly?
Is the printer on a steady surface?

Re: Octoprint No serial port

After parsing dmesg as soon as i was able to, after yet another clean install, I found the following error message. can't set config #1, error -32 This is the line that is preventing the creation of the /dev/ttyACM0 reference. If i hook up a USB 1.1 hub inline to the ...

Re: Octoprint No serial port
Did you use the OctoPi image on this page? http://octoprint.org/download/ I did. Also did you have the M2 powered up and connected while you powered up the Pi? I did not on the first try. I had it connected but not powered up. Thinking that might have been the problem, i reflashed the sd card and m...

Re: Good starting mm/s for ABS ?
I used your .26 profile with the same results. I did have a clog last week. I cleared it and reset tension at the same time. I'm not looking at it now, but i think your brim is set to 1 layer 0 offset and 6 outlines. 6 may be a bit much for that piece. i may try reducing it by 2 or 3 and see what ha...

Re: Good starting mm/s for ABS ?
Sorry Insta, I am. I didn't realize that was pertinent. I just figured speed was speed. I guess really what im after is a good baselilne. Some prints come out fine. Others, get wrecked during the print. Mostly when dealing with threads or small parts. For instance thing:21357 is a pcb vise. The 2 ar...
