I downloaded, placed the file in the Rhino plugins folder, and ran tools/options/plugins. Boatmen does not show up to select and install even though I have display all selected.
Any ideas what I'm not doing?

Re: A Good All Around 3D Scanner
I have a Nextengine that I purchased some years ago for a special project. I needed to measure the distortion of a piece of machinery during operation. You couldn't be in the room with it while running. I did a scan when it wasn't under load and one when it was. It produces stl files. Rhino has a fu...

Android printer GUI
Currently, I have an old laptop running printer.. as my printer interface. I design on a separate laptop using S3D and WiFi the file to the printer laptop. Then I initiate the print from the printers local laptop. I have not used the S3D printer controller since I was used to the other app and I don...

S3D question
I used the s3d function to create multiple copies of the same model. I have never used that function. I have not been able to select all the models to print at once. There is a check box in each model, but no matter what I try, I can't get all models to select and prepare. I tried the windows functi...

Re: problem with V3 extruder install
Inc, it's been a while for me to get back to this. I gave it a shot this afternoon and the autotune and then M500 worked perfect.
Thanks for the help.

Re: problem with V3 extruder install
OK, thanks.
When I ordered the extruder, I selected the 19v option. Do you think they shipped the wrong one. If it's the wrong resistance, the watts will be low and it may be slower to heat up. Is this correct?

problem with V3 extruder install
I just upgraded my M2 with the new extruder. It is a good looking design. However, if I set the temperature for 200, it only gets to about 195and then slowly oscillates between 195 and 190, never reaching 200. I assume the PID coefficients need to be changed. Is this correct? I have never messed wit...

Re: Extruder - Popping noise and not feeding
Yep, you nailed it. Teeth are gone on the pinion. The Makergear website offers a 5:1 and a 13.6:1 gearmotor. I don't find any markings on the one I have. Any idea which one it would be? The pinion is 11 teeth, the 3 gears are 17 teeth, and the outer is 46 teeth. I guess I don't know how one works as...

Re: Extruder - Popping noise and not feeding
I disassembled removed the hot end from the print head and used a piece of .24mm piano wire to see if it was plugged. It seemed all clear. With the hot end off the print head, I fed filament into it by hand and with reasonable force got plastic out the other end. The first drive issue I found was th...

Re: Extruder - Popping noise and not feeding
Thanks jmc for the prompt and thorough feedback. I cranked the temperature up to 225 and it didn't help so it must be clogged. I have been running my temperature 20+ degrees too cool all along. I have the version 2 extruder from a year ago. Would there be any advantage to move to the v3 extruder? I ...
