Re: Installed a new 30mm nozzle and its a mess!
alright I did everything over but this time made sure the the holes on the level mount were level with the hotend top and there was about 1mm gap showing the filament. I also extruded at 10mm at a time vs 100mm. Sadly no change. I am going to just call it quits for now as my accessory part set will ...

Re: Installed a new 30mm nozzle and its a mess!
100 mm is too much to extrude at one time - even with PLA. You might have just stripped the filament. Try retracting it completely (perfectly okay to retract 100 mm at a time), cut the end off flat, straighten the first 4 inches of the filament, and feed it back it 10-20 mm at a time until you eith...

By habit I extruded by 100mm by mistake when feeding it.Jules wrote:How much did you extrude? It takes at least 50 mm to fill it back up again, but take it in batches of 10 mm.

Re: Installed a new 30mm nozzle and its a mess!
Here is a picture of green filament going through the holes. (coming out of the filament drive and going into the hotend) If you get in really close with a flashlight, you should be able to see it from the side. picture.jpg Unless you have the dual, your filament drive is going to look different th...

Re: Installed a new 30mm nozzle and its a mess!
Ok, we are working on that...without the nozzle it is coming through just fine. Im letting it cool so I can add the nozzle and try again. I wasn't sure where the holes were you asked me to align but nothing is oozing from anywhere now.

Re: Installed a new 30mm nozzle and its a mess!
I see Steve beat me to it! (Chuckle!) 6. Then turn everything off, let it cool. Take the hotend off, hold it up to the light and see if it is clear all the way through. 7. Put the nozzle back on, reload the hotend, see if you can feed some filament through with the Jog Controls and reset your...
