Polymaker PolyWood Test
I got a free sample of PolyWood from Polymaker at the NY Maker Faire last fall (http://www.polymaker.com/shop/polywood/). Being I had an unexected day off today (snow) I finally tried it. Initially used the same settings I use for PLA but then increased retraction to 2.1mm (from .9). This is my firs...

Re: Verbatim PLA
Interesting stuff, jsc, as for me, I print white almost exclusively. Lately I've been having layer bonding issues and can only seem to get a viable print with no bed fan at all. But I've had good eSun white PLA prints before so I'm not really convinced it's the filament, just looking for an easy fix...

Re: Verbatim PLA
Wow, Verbatim is making filament, cool! I didn't know. No I haven't tried, but I'm starting to get annoyed with eSun filament and coming to the conclusion that it's worth paying more for the absolute best quality material, whatever that happens to be ($50/Kg is about my limit). I was using Ultimachi...

Re: Securing your bed: Binder clips, none, or other?
Hi all,
There's this too: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1166497
I've been meaning to put up a video that would convey just how easy it is to deal with, the pictures don't quite do it. Binder clip free and very happy.

Re: Drop-in Build Plate Upgrade
Well, I did this right about when I switched to the Zebra so I can't compare well, but it doesn't seem bad. Usually when I take the plate off to release a print I'll bend it into shape quickly and that seems to be fine.

Drop-in Build Plate Upgrade
I've been using these replacement HBP corner pads for several months now and I've built some confidence that they're robust. They secure the build plate with spring force and eliminate the need for binder clips. I know there are some other binder clip replacement options out there, this is another. ...

Re: 3-Axis Cable Chain Upgrade
FYI, the part numbers for the cable chain and ends I meant to have in the PDF are 4516T46 and 4556T33, which is the .9" wide version for a .5" max cable bundle. Being jdacal found the smaller chain (parts 4516T44 and 4556T31) also work I've added a note in the PDF about using those instead and corre...

Re: Cable Chains instead of braids..
Looks great askernas!
I don't know what happened, they're fixed now. jdacal managed to print them so maybe Thingiverse did something weird. The files by jhaupt on this are incomplete, and the bracket for this one is 0 bytes.
