Re: M2 Auto-Leveling Kit (Beta)
Just checking in - I'm glad to hear you all are enjoying the autoleveling X) As for the 8mm probe - in my testing, the 8mm probe I bought (with the orange tip and, IIRC, 24mm diameter) was too sensitive to heat: it would work initially, but then after printing for a while fail to detect the bed prop...

Re: Request for Marlin/Arduino Expertise
innkeeper: SD card doesn't help. Compiled in both 1.5.5 and 1.6.3, running an auto0.g file from the SD card (so no LCD to add complications), still see the glitching, when powered from both USB and PSU.

Re: Request for Marlin/Arduino Expertise
Thank you all for the rapid feedback X) sshwarts: A bunch of "only initialized variables can be placed into program memory area" errors in 1.5.5, but I need to go through and make sure I have all warnings enabled in both compilers before I can make a definitive statement on which are present. lem: T...

Re: Request for Marlin/Arduino Expertise
The issue post has all that information, but - both our old stable version (~3 years old at this point) and one downloaded from the main Marlin release ~a month ago.

Request for Marlin/Arduino Expertise
Oh MakerGear community, we request your assistance to identify the source of this elusive issue: We've received reports and also experienced infrequent, intermittent X/Y skips while printing. Most of the skipping issues that are reported are related to the specific model being printed or improper ma...

Re: M2 Auto-Leveling Kit (Beta)
The firmware from the original auto-leveling mod (with the mechanical microswitch probe) works for the inductive probe as well - https://github.com/MakerGear/M2/tree/master/Experimental%20Parts/Z%20Probe%20for%20auto-level . The extruder motor mount is also the same; I just uploaded the inductive pr...

Re: Anyone with a Kill-A-Watt have the steady-state wattage?
Are these 24V or 19V/12V units? If the latter, you may want to run the HBP PSUs from a different power source - the HBP is far less susceptible to brief power outages, and could probably maintain printing temperature for at least two minutes without power. Actually, if you wanted to get fancy and co...

MakerGear Host software
We are in the process of developing software to make the out of the box experience as smooth as possible. We are also in the process of making some changes to the M2. One of these changes is to put the Z endstop on the bottom of the z axis and use software to set the z offset (bed position relative ...

Re: M2 Auto-Leveling
Bed compensation ("autoleveling") can't work with a dual, at least not one with the nozzles fixed in the same horizontal (thus same Z position) plane - the autolevel works by calculating the tilt of the bed, and moving the hotend (or bed, in the case of the M2) in Z to keep the distance between the ...

Re: M2 Auto-Leveling
Good evening folks. I've created a new folder under our M2 repo on our Github (https://github.com/MakerGear/M2/tree/master/Experimental%20Parts/Z%20Probe%20for%20auto-level ) called "Experimental Parts", which will be the home for any semi-official/testing upgrades, including the auto-level probe an...
