(Current excitement levels can be measured in gigajoules.) fireworks.gif And: 1. It's a much nicer looking machine than the photos of it on the internet show....

Re: New M2 Kits

I bet if you emailed Rick at MakerGear and told him you wanted an assembled unit upgraded to the V4, he could get you set up with one, or at least give you a better idea of when they might be available.

(He might not always be here to check the forum, but he responds to direct emails very quickly.)

Re: Extrusion calibration

Excellent! Many thanks, and this one should be pinned for all us newbies.

Got it bookmarked, but it took a while to figure out where to go to see all the useful bookmarked topics I already had. (It's in the User Control Panel.)

Re: Shipping Notice

Chuckle! Yeah, no worries, I've got it back up and running again, but I lost a week of learning time on my Rhino software, and I had spent a lot of time cleaning up un-used programs and crap from the system several months ago that I've now had to load back on with the Windows Image. So now I'm at th...

Shipping Notice

Just got it. Three weeks and two days from the time I pressed the button. Despite a 4 to 5 week lead time warning on the site. I'm impressed. :D I had actually foreseen this occurrence with remarkable prescience....last week an update from my POC anti-virus software cratered my network (again), and ...

Re: This years Valentines Gift

I give them to my 2 year old boy, who is very fascinated with the printer and thinks everything that comes off of it is some kind of toy.
Lucky boy! (I'd have thought the same thing at that age!)

Re: How to get a smooth finish on a PLA printed part

No arguments here.....had a near fatal experience with lye and an unexpected gust of wind ten years ago...now I keep everything from the little doctor's ear-loop masks to full face Israeli M15s, although I'm hoping to be able to keep it dialed back to a half-face NIOSH 6001 filter....aside from bein...

Re: Helping Me out

Haven't gotten mine yet, but I did do the same research that you're doing, and I opted for the upgrades below: Simplify3D software. Extra Hot End (Extruder) In case I clog one up and need to take it off for cleaning. Spare Parts set -Just an extra printout of all the plastic parts for the printer. (...
